Don’t you just love the summer months? I’m literally crushing on summer at the moment. Coming from Scotland, and spending summers working in the North Sea I very much appreciate the heat Houston has to offer – maybe not how frizzy and crazy my hair gets but I’ve found a cure! Cuvee Champagne shampoo, conditioner and treatment – I cannot express how soft and sleek my hair looked just after ONE USE! Seriously, please look it up! Plus the smell is nothing like I’ve smelt before, it’s so unlike any products.
Right, back to how much I love Houston summers, except for maybe all the sweating, and having to turn up your AirCon to max as soon as you get in the car… wait this feels all too negative about Houston summer let me get back to the positives…
Summer clothes! I LOVE summer clothing, shorts, cute tank tops, day dresses and maxi dresses. I feel when you live in a warmer climate you experiment more with clothes. I know I can take a nice jacket with me to wear in side, means I get the excuse of purchasing cardigans, jackets, blazers… the list could go on.
A couple of weeks ago I spent the morning appreciating City Centre! So many new shops, bars, cafes and plus I go to Lifetime gym so I like having the excuse of ‘stretching my legs’ while wandering round the shops! My favorite place to eat here is Season’s 52 – if you haven’t been already please book a table! They have the best wine and deserts! Urban Outfitters is my go to shop for sales and facemasks (3 for $10 yes please!!) and Bevello is like my wardrobe!
I bought this dress from Banana Republic, in the sale (bargain catcher!) Shoes are Steve Madden sandals from ShoeBar, fringe bag is Forever 21 – I really like mixing colours so it all goes together in an alternative way with different materials.
Literally the most comfortable gladiator sandals I have owned and with a practicable heel – it’s not like me to go for a chucky heel! The Bag is gorgeous and adds that pop of color needed to take this outfit to the next level.
I’ve accessorized with Gucci classic watch and gold rings from Pandora. If you didn’t already know I LOVE gold accessorizes I have one silver necklace and one silver watch (Gucci also) but it’s very rare! I just adore the look of gold against sun kissed skin.
These Ear rings I got as a present from my beautiful friend (who has great taste and travels the world on a cruise ship… so jealous of her life!!) but I wanted a color which would match with the bag and tie everything perfectly in together.
Isn’t it crazy the thought process us girls go through in order to make the ‘perfect outfit’ and my husband literally gets outta bed grabs a tee and basketball shorts and he’s good to roll!
