a Scottish girl living the American dream. Fashion, beautiful and everything fabulous to me!

So your nursery is ready, you have done all the babies washing (blankets, socks, clothing, swaddles… felt like a lifetime of washing!) and you are all set?! But have you taken time out to imagine yourself tackling diaper-duty and where you will be changing the baby? So I thought I had as her changing station upstairs was all set until one of my friends suggested I have a changing station downstairs… genius! Especially as I have a bassinet in our living area!

Since you’ll be changing about 2,500 diapers in just the first year alone, it’s best to make sure your baby’s changing area is well stocked with all the essentials now — so you won’t find yourself scrambling for something while diapering your baby.

Our changing station downstairs is (WAS haha!) our vintage cabinets and it’s there for show, we literally have nothing in the drawers!

  • Trash Can
  • Distractions for baby girl
  • Soothing Music
  • Laundry basket close to throw babies clothes in
  • Changing pad covers
  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • Lotion
  • Diaper bags
  • Thermometer nail clippers, brush etc to hand
  • Swaddles
  • New outfit

What else did you have at your changing station? Have I forgotten anything?

xx
