Dear Diary…

As this is Choos and Doos Fitness Week (Looking forward to Choos and Doos Fashion Week coming soon…!) I’ve discussed workouts for in the gym, outside the gym, using a gym ball and homemade healthy snacks which I hope has helped you guys see that’s it’s easy to add a bit of routine, fitness and health back into your life.

However, it’s easy for me to write all this and show that I’m the healthiest, fittest person in the world.. which couldn’t be further from the truth! I’m an average girl trying to better my body, tone up and feel better about myself which is a massive working progress.

I met with a PT when I first arrived in Houston, looking into my fitness options. There is only so much my husband can put up with when I’m in a childish mood in the gym! However, it was so expensive I just couldn’t justify it, then after 4 months here I’m finally just starting CrossFit which is expensive enough when it gives good interaction with other people in the area, it’s good from a  competitive side as it will make me push harder opposed to when I’m on my own and lastly I know I’ll get a lot out of it. That one session really helped me though, instantly I set myself goals which I could achieve (Still working on them) and I certainly don’t believe in diets, I believe in eating well and treating yourself, I’m a SUCKER for Reeces buttercups.. I know so bad for you I just can’t shake them off. She mentioned to write out my food diary, and It definitely made me feel good about what I eat. I think I always think I’m worse than I am, yes my daily reeces don’t help my ever expanding body! But if your honest with yourself it allows you to see what times of the day your losing your healthy battle!
I would recommend doing this for a week or two.

Please note I only drink Alcohol one night a week, if that. This is where all the empty calories are, especially the next day when you are craving junk food! I usually stick to a glass of Prosecco with a slice of lemon. However partial to a lovely cocktail. Like I said as long as you don’t indulge enjoy your treats!
