Don’t you love it when you find a great all rounder beauty product?! I’ve written about my love of Sudacreme before which I feel like I use for EVERYTHING but now I’ve found something else from one of my favorite skincare brands Tropic Skincare, Tamanu balm!
Tamanu is highly regarded and extensively used by the indigenous people of Polynesia and South-east Asia. Since the 1930’s, Tamanu oil has been studied by researchers in Europe, Asia and the Pacific Islands and has even been used in the treatment of leprosy. Tamanu oil has antibacterial, anti inflammatory, restorative and regenerative properties when applied to skin. The unique chemistry of the oil is what gives it such incomparable healing effect.
Tropic Tamanu Balm treats a multitude of skin complaints and injuries including: bites, bruises, cuts, sunburn, stretch marks, scars, acne, eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. Many chronic skin conditions are fundamentally inflammatory skin problems. When Tamanu is applied to breaks in the skin, it has the ability to promote formation of new tissue. The clever little compounds have anti inflammatory and antibacterial results which have been shown to reduce swelling and irritation.
Tamanu is particularly beneficial for treating acne as the mild antibacterial properties work to minimise of the bacteria which causes acne whilst calming and balancing the skin. Tanamu also minimises acne scarring (even old scarring) and speeds the growth of healthy new cells.
Additionally and amazingly, Tamanu can help prevent UV related cell damage and ageing as it combats sun damaged skin that had become hyper-pigmented and has lost crucial collagen; causing fine lines, deep wrinkles and loss of firmness.
Tamanu is baby and child safe so can be used as an effective treatment for nappy rash, chicken pox and nursing mothers can use it on cracked and sore nipples.
Tropic Tamanu Balm and Tamanu Rescue (a handy-sized tube easy to pop into your handbag ) is a must have skin saviour which combines a perfect blend of super-healing powers of the Tamanu oil to repair, Monio butter to protect , Shea butter to calm and Blackcurrant and Cranberry to soothe and hydrate.
Highly recommend trying this!! This will be your most used product!!
