I had my Christmas Work Party Last Friday Night and I had no idea what to wear. I stressed about it for the last month, you guys know I purchased those two dresses from Missguided, but I just wasn’t sure they would be formal enough. You just never know when it says Black Tie exactly what you can get away with, plus I was conscious it was based in a bar and frankly I know what I’m like with a long dress it would be very typical for me to fall over, spill my drink or ruin the bottom of it. When it comes to guys it’s easy, Formal = suit, black tie = Suit/Kilt Informal = jeans. For us girls it’s a lot more complicated. 
So these were my three options, Classic Low Back Navy Lace Lipsy dress I bought over a year ago, Neon Yellow ‘look at me’ MissGuided dress and a beautiful ‘my body ain’t ready for this cut out need more crossfit‘ blue/nude cut out misguided dress.
I’m sure from my description there was no way I was wearing the cut out dress.. I need a lot more crossfit/diet.. maybe new year. I went out and purchased a gorgeous gold clutch from Target – which was only $15.
This was to go with the Lipsy dress. However I decided why not just go for it with the ‘look at me neon yellow’ dress. I mean we are young only once, fashion is about enjoying yourself and taking risks.
The Halter neck was super low, thank goodness for safety pins! I paired this dress with a black Michael Kors Quilted Clutch
and Kurt Geiger Patent Open toe heels.
I left my hair messy, front bits pinned up and make-up minimal with smoky eyes.
Moral of the story, be comfortable and confident in your own skin. Everyone is different, everyone’s body shapes are different, what you hate about yourself someone else might be green with jealously. Happy Christmas Party Season! What are you wearing to your next party?
