a Scottish girl living the American dream. Fashion, beautiful and everything fabulous to me!

DSC00233Okay Okay, I know you are going to think I’m crazy. And trust me I thought I was when I read this years ago that washing your hair out with milk would leave your hair looking healthy, shinny and feeling soft to touch. So I’m sure your wondering why a product you can find in your fridge could provide such results?!

Milk is generally known for its high content of calcium, but it is a treasure of many other vital nutrients that can provide you endless health benefits. It is also a wonderful beauty aid. Milk plays an important role in overall nutrition and health. Milk contains a unique blend of natural fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals that have the ability to strengthen and fortify cells, and this includes hair cells.

Directions:

It’s simple, find the fattest milk and rinse your hair with half the bottle (depending on the size of carton, don’t go mental and waste it..!!) afterwards wrap your hair up in a heated towel and leave in for around 20-30 minutes. Then go have your shower, wash and style your hair as normal and you will see the results! I can use all the products under the sun to try and maintain my curly, unruly hair but this seems to keep it tame for a while.

I have added on photos before and after. Please note I made a point of leaving my hair natural, ie no blow drying, no products, therefore please excuse the fizziness – however I didn’t want to pretend there was a crazy result going from curly mental hair to smooth straight here, we all know those adverts aren’t real..!!

DSC00238 So this is my hair before the milk rinse.

DSC00240 This is my hair after. Even my husband noticed a difference!!

Please let me know how you get on with this 🙂
