Banana & Honey Homemade Face Mask with Cinnamon

During all seasons, throughout the year, especially dependant on where you live with lots of pollution it can all take a toll on your skin, leaving it dry and lifeless. Over the years I have tried to make my own face masks which I feel has made more a positive impact on my skin compared to facials at Spa’s or out a packet.

This is a Banana, Honey and a touch of Cinnamon homemade face mask.


a banana
2 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
Begin by mashing the half banana in a bowl with a  spoon. Once you’ve created a smooth, consistent texture, mix in the honey and cinnamon.
To apply, start with a freshly cleaned face. Gently apply the mask with your fingers, and leave it on for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, gently rinse and wash your face with a hot towel.
The banana is to help sooth dry, irritated skin. The honey is beneficial in so many ways, but the main reason I chose honey as the main ingredient is because it helps replenish your skin from the harshness of every day life, including time spent in the sun. The cinnamon is a nice touch to fight blemishes and open your pores.
