a Scottish girl living the American dream. Fashion, beautiful and everything fabulous to me!

Despite the rain it’s nice to focus on the sunny days just around the corner! I’m very much looking forward to spring time and more importantly updating my wardrobe with spring trends!

Prepare for bolder prints, more frills, and some serious wardrobe disruption. While minimalism has ruled, 2017 is poised to bring some big change to our closets.

Isn’t It Romantic

Ruffles, voluminous sleeves, and nods to the Victorian era made Spring’s most covetable dresses decidedly romantic — and a touch more dramatic than your average day dresses.

 Vacation Prints

Spring’s florals are bright, splashy, and on vacation. The saturated, tropical-feeling motifs find their way onto everything, giving you those getaway vibes.

Athlesiure is staying

Fashion’s obsession with athleisure is a staple for Spring, delivering a riff on your favorite sweatpants and track pants. Dress them up or wear them right to the gym; either way, you’ll be right on trend.

 Earn Your Stripes

The classic print rules for Spring, but it’s got a contemporary update in knits, sheer fabrics, and even asymmetrical cuts. And if you prefer a more traditional look, you might just want to snag new suit separates with the must-have pattern.

 Wardrobe Renegade

Rules are meant to be broken, so why wear a button-down tucked in and buttoned up or a bra top underneath your blouse? Designers are begging you to push the envelope with clothes that are meant to be layered unexpectedly and outfits that come deconstructed.

 Hot pink

Pretty and soft isn’t the way you’ll think of Spring’s pink palette. The color was a designer favourite, punctuating runways with its ironic sweetness or, sometimes, bold, saturated fuchsias.

Ruffles galore
Love this trend – maybe my favorite this season!
