a Scottish girl living the American dream. Fashion, beautiful and everything fabulous to me!

Sunday night already?! Where has the weekend gone?! Don’t they always go to quick?! Thank goodness I’m in love with my job and company it makes Monday’s more exciting, plus the outfit I’ve laid out is CUTE!

One of my New Year resolutions was to start making more of an effort with my hair, I can be pretty lazy and my hair has always been pretty unmanageable. It’s taken me to reach the age of 30 to FINALLY make it look half decent! In the past I would tie it up after a shower and leave it to dry naturally, then keep it tied back for work. It’s only been the last year I’ve felt more comfortable to leave it down for everyday wear. So, this year I decided to start trying new things with my hair, take more time over it. But that’s hard to do when last week I barely had time to brush it ….!!

So, what is my secret? Sunday before work I wash it, leave it to dry naturally after brush it out with ‘tangle tweezer’ which is the best brush! So much so I purchased another one for my gym bag! You can get off amazon in different colors! Ok, now my hair is dry I curl it quickly with the conair Infiniti pro curling iron in rose gold! Bargain from target only $20

Once it’s curled I sleep in my hair and wake up with perfect hair once I’ve brushed it through. Maintenance next day free!!

When I get to mid week, as I typically only wash my hair twice a week I will use dry shampoo on my roots night before to soak up excess oils.

Now, what are my 5 go to hair products which I pretty much use every time I wash my hair, so a couple of times a week!

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I’ve tried multiple dry shampoos from expensive brands like living proof and Ouai to high street brands and I love Batiste the most, especially with the hint of color range! You know what this means no white splotches!! The other pro is the price!

Living Proof Shampoo & Conditioner

My hair has never looked or felt better in my entire life since I started using this shampoo. My hair dresser recommend the restore and full mix – do your research! Although it’s expensive it’s so worth it! I promise

GK Hair Serum

I’m pretty knowledgeable when it comes to beauty products, but hair products not so much so I’m always taking recommendations and this serum was one! Because I have fair, frizzy (I mean we live in Houston I don’t think I can get away with saying curly now!!) Hair I cant be using heavy products. I use one pump of this for the ends of my hair after I’ve washed it.

Black light Shampoo

Formulated for highlighted, bleached and natural blondes—this color-refreshing shampoo strengthens and repairs surface damage, and leaves hair feeling cleaner and brighter. My hair dresser told me to use this and alternate between my living proof shampoo and this one to help maintain my hair color!
