a Scottish girl living the American dream. Fashion, beautiful and everything fabulous to me!

One of my guilty pleasures in life is to read lyrics of songs (I also L O V E writing them myself) getting lost in the music. ‘Stripped’ by Christina Aguilera is my go to album – I have said before but I’ve gone through about 6 CD’s PLUS I have Apple Music but I need to always have a physical copy near me. This was the first item I put in my new car. Whether I’m sad, heart broken (trust me this album helped me throughout my teens, college and break ups) or if I’m happy I play this album!!
This is my ultimate therapy. I’m shockingly bad at expressing myself through words so to deal with situations I write it down (maybe that’s also why I love blogging!!)

I have been listening to Kesha’s new record and I’m in love with the rawness of her words. Her honestly. The song ‘praying’ is a beautiful story of what she has gone through over the last couple of years (sure we have all read about it in the news) but you know what’s great?! She’s moved on and produced her best work (so far…). sometimes it’s frustrating when you want to be physically present when karma comes around and kicks the butt of people who we feel deserve it … but the best karma is brushing it off your shoulder, rising above and being the best person you can be!

Let’s not be affected by the sad and hate in this world. Let’s put our emotions, sadness, passion into something great – maybe it’s concentrating on that promotion, hobby, new business venture or doing something you have never done before! Don’t let someone set you back.

If you haven’t already listened to her album ‘Rainbow’ 🌈 please check it out

Learn to let go
” I hope you’re somewhere praying, praying

I hope your soul is changing, changing

I hope you find your peace

Falling on your knees, praying
Oh, sometimes, I pray for you at night

Oh, someday, maybe you’ll see the light

Oh, some say, in life you gonna get what you give”
