a Scottish girl living the American dream. Fashion, beautiful and everything fabulous to me!

Don’t you love it when you find a reliable Highstreet store (or website) where you can purchase great quality fashionable timeless pieces for good ‘won’t break the bank’ prices!?! I want to dedicate this blog post to Marks & Spencer’s fashion (I could go on and on about their food selection but it will make me jealous that I’m not in the UK so can’t go buy the ‘dine in for two only $10’ deal!)

It’s been a tough couple of years for retail chains, maybe switching to website only and shutting store fronts. People think it’s convenient shopping online but unless you know the brand, sizing and quality you have no idea what you will receive.

M&S are true to size – much better compared to H&M’s ridiculous sizing I’m literally 3 sizes up just to squeeze my butt uncomfortably into their skirts!

And have you checked out the shoes lately? A certain pair of jewel-toned satin stilettos look very much like Manolo Blahnik’s ‘something blue’ pumps are flying off the shelves – maybe with thanks to £35 price tag.

But more importantly what about the clothes? I love how M&S have pieces you can dress up, dress down, that’s what comes through in all their collections. For example blazers are great because they can be formal but then you can make them more casual by pairing them with a fluted dress.

Before I returned back to work from maternity leave I needed to update my wardrobe with dresses which I could wear inside and outside of work, transitional dresses – comfortable to wear but fitted also to keep me going from summer through to winter – think I was asking too much?!

I pick up three of there $25 swing dresses patterned and plain with cute back details. I love them so much – I’ve added a couple of pictures!

Their AW18 collection looks very high fashion Victoria Beckham-Esque with mix of Victorian coloring and designs with a modern masculine twist – like pairing gorgeous suit with sneakers.

So if you are look to update your wardrobe, don’t forget M&S!!
